ABOUT
I am a licensed professional acupuncturist, herbalist, bodyworker, and tai qi practitioner. I provide attentive skilled care with a gentle light touch, in a professional setting.
I have been in private practice since 2011. My practice combines TCM and Classical (Jeffrey Yuan inspired) Daoist Acupuncture methods, Western and Eastern Herbalism, and bodywork. I received Masters in Chinese Medicine diploma from Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences located in Oakland, CA.
For the past three years I have worked with the New Orleans VA Community Care agency to provide acupuncture to the US veterans.
I see veterans with conditions such as fibromyalgia, neuropathy, low back pain, ptsd, orthopedic pain, insomnia, and other. If you are a veteran you can simply ask your primary doctor to call Community Care, provide my full name, Yekaterina Chizayeva, and the name of my business, Libre Wellness Acupuncture. They will fax me the referral and I will contact the veteran shortly to set up an appointment. My fax number is 504.688.39.42.

*Cost of herbal medicine is not included. I order herbs from a respected affordable Chinese pharmacy that delivers packages to your home by mail in fast and professional manner.
I am available for individual or group Feldenkrais, Tai Chi, yoga, or fitness instructions, booked community acupuncture offers, or wellness education workshops.
I also teach Feldenkrais classes on Mondays at 3-4pm at the Swan River Yoga. Feldenkrais is a somatic movement practice which helps to improve posture, coordination, balance, and create greater ease in and efficient movement throughout the whole body.
MY UKRAINE VOLUNTEER WORK
Since the full scale invasion of Russia’s war on Ukraine I have put my rage into fundraising and community organizing. With the support of many people I was able to fundraise $80K in the first 4 months of invasion. All of that money went directly to Ukraine mutual aid and relief organizations.
Additionally I traveled to Ukraine for three months this and last year while the war was happening to volunteer as an acupuncturist at the Ukraine Lisova Polyana VA Rehabilitation Center for psychological trauma and brain injuries in Kyiv ,Ukraine (July - September 2022, and August-October 2023.)
Over that time I was able to provide treatment to over 300 wounded soldiers, seeing 15 to 25 patients daily. Acupuncture helped them to sleep better, improved their cognitive function, and reduced many of their PTSD symptoms. (Instagram @ukrainewellnesslisova)
Please support Ukraine Wellness Fund which funds local Ukrainian acupuncturists who volunteer to work with soldiers returning from war. Please go to this link below if you would like to support this effort. These practitioners see 30 plus people a day, and they deserve our support and recognition.

Ukrainian Voices series, published in Nola Vie online magazine in June 2022. The four interviews with Ukrainians living and responding to war in New Orleans meant to amplify Ukrainian activists' voices in our community.
